Anna & Andrew "Andrew must have been praying to the 'hydro gods', because all of a sudden, the lights went out!"
Anna shares her story of how Andrew proposed...

“I knew Andrew was the one for me right from the start. Within a couple months of dating, we discussed the details of our wedding that we knew would certainly happen. We even discussed how he would propose. I made sure he knew I wanted it to be spontaneous, for him to wait for just the right moment. I didn’t want one of those Valentine's Day, birthday or Christmas proposals. It just had to be the perfect moment, and it was.

The proposal happened when we were just hanging out at home on a Saturday evening. He was watching T.V, I was reading a book. Andrew must have been praying to the 'hydro gods', because all of a sudden, the lights went out … no power at all! We lit some candles, sat on the couch together and just talked for awhile. After almost an hour of no electricity, Andrew said he was going downstairs to get a deck of cards so we could pass the time. When he came back up the stairs, he stopped in the kitchen, just out of my line of sight. I was a little confused when he called me over but I got up anyway. Just as I reached the doorway, he came around the corner and immediately got down on one knee. I barely remember what he was saying as I stood in the middle of the living room floor, surrounded by candlelight. I was crying, and he had to ask me again after he had put ring on my finger if I had said yes! The timing and the romantic setting were a complete fluke and I wouldn't have had it any other way.”
