Vintage Style for Today's Bride

Designers recreate styles from era's past with a modern twist.

Designer-inspired gowns from yesteryears are making their way down the wedding aisle, but don’t expect grandma gowns.  These vintage inspirations from the 20’s to the 60’s have been designed with the chic bride in mind.

Roaring Twenties
Jenny Packham recreates the glam and sophistication of the roaring 20’s in her bridal collection for 2009. With drop waist styles, column silhouettes and bejeweled hairpieces worn over the brow, this high society gal lives on.

Feminine Fifties
Monique Lhuillier captures the essence of the golden era with her ballerina length A-line silhouette this year. This swing skirt that accentuates the natural cinched waistline fulfilled all the feminine dreams of women in the early fifties and is sure to do the same for today’s bride.

Liberating Sixties
Reva Mivasagar's modern mini skirt “flirting flower power” encapsulates the grooving sixties. In an era when skirts hiked and the Women’s Rights Movement lead the path to a brighter future for women today. The bride who wears this ensemble brings the confidence of her fore sister to today’s generation.
