Bling in the New Year with a wedding!

The Proposal
“I had no idea when Alex made reservations at one of our favourite restaurants, that night he was going to propose to me,” says Kailley.

When they arrived at the restaurant the maitre d' sat them in a quaint little room at a table for two. The warmth of the fireplace was aglow as they dined by candlelight.

“After dinner, while we were having dessert, all of a sudden, Alex got down on one knee and proposed. I was so excited, so was he; we couldn’t even finish our desserts.”

“He insisted we leave the restaurant to go to his parents so we could tell them the news,” says Kailley.

“When we arrived at his house we were greeted by family and friends; that’s when I realized Alex planned this too. I was so surprised; it was planned so perfectly I never would have guessed.”

The Wedding
The Manor in Kettleby, Ontario was the perfect location for the fairytale wedding and Rachel Clingen, their wedding planner, created a ‘white wonderland’ for the New Year’s Eve venue.

A white backdrop set the tone for the glittering décor. Clear pedestal arrangements adorned with hanging crystals and topped with a floral snowball of white hydrangea, cream roses and mums transcended the ceremony into a winter Shangri-la. White chair covers adorned with crystal brooches and glowing candles radiated the room inviting the guests to enjoy the couple’s special day.

“It couldn’t have been more dazzling,” said Kailley.

The Wedding Attire
Kailley looked gorgeous in a trumpet gown by Alfred Sung. It had a fitted elongated bodice and strapless sweetheart neckline accentuated with a Swarovski crystal belt at the natural waist.

The bridesmaids looked elegant in black mermaid gowns by Angelina Faccenda; featuring an asymmetrical neckline with one ruffled shoulder strap.

The groom, Alex, wore a black tuxedo, white shirt and ivory vest with matching silk bow tie from Tip Top Tailors.

Most Memorable Moment
Kailley had more than one memorable moment at her wedding. She felt the reveal, when she entered the church, was a moment she will never forget. Her vows were also very meaningful to her and finally their first dance as a married couple will always remain a treasure to her.

Wedding Advice
“My advice,” says Kailley, “is plan your wedding well in advance and communicate with each other about what you want. Make sure to enjoy every minute of your wedding day as it goes by so quickly.”
