A family affair

The Proposal
“It was St. Patrick’s Day, and Wes had our daughter in his arms when he asked me to marry him,” Jen says. ‘She was holding the ring in her little hand and together they popped the question.”

The Wedding
The gods must have been smiling on Jen and Wes on their wedding day; the weather was mild for the middle of November, not one snowflake fell from the sky.

Rachel Clingen, their wedding planner, triumphantly transformed the golf course Clubhouse, at The Club at Bond Head, into a pink and white haven for the ceremony and reception. Tall birch branch arrangements filled with long stemmed sword lilies decorated the room and filled the air with a sweet scent.

“Every detail from the winsome seating tree to the elegant table setting made the day incredible for Wes and me,” said Jen.

The Wedding Attire
Jen’s mermaid gown, designed by Pronovias, in a satin organza fabric showcased her feminine silhouette. The fitted, asymmetrical elongated bodice was embellished with a fabric rosette at the empire line and her skirt featured tiers of ruffles.

Wes looked dashingly handsome in a dark gray tuxedo and deep pink shirt with coordinating pink tie and cuff links.

The only bridal party member, their daughter and the flower girl, looked adorable in an US Angel, blush pink satin princess dress with a tulle overlay and crinoline. Embellished on the bodice was a large fabric flower and around her natural waist was a pink satin sash.

The Most Memorable Moment
“Saying our vows and having all our friends and family there to share our special day was our most memorable moment,” Jen says.
