Nicole & John During a beautiful destination wedding in the Mayan Riviera, Nicole and John tied the knot and tropically "trashed the dress."
“I don’t even know where to start because everything really did turn out to be perfect!”

The Planning
Nicole knew exactly what she wanted when she planned her destination wedding at the Barcelo Mayan Palace. At the hotel it took Nicole and her bridesmaids under three hours to pick everything for the wedding!

The Ceremony
On the morning of the wedding Nicole woke up to pouring rain. Although she was upset, she shook it off and went to the spa with the girls. Meanwhile, in a rush to deal with the rain, the ceremony location had to be changed. Nicole was worried because she didn’t know where it was going to be and was really looking forward to the location she had picked out.

When Nicole, her bridesmaids and parents arrived at the ceremony they were in awe. Nicole says, “It looked beautiful! I actually preferred the new location instead of where it was originally supposed to be. The gazebo and the ocean in the background looked amazing. I was really pleased with it and so was everyone else.”

The Reception
The group headed to the Palmeras for the wedding reception. The wedding was a blast, Nicole laughs when she thinks of the staff, “coming around with the tequila and made people 'Mexicans' by pouring tequila in their mouths and shaking their heads all around!” The evening flew by, and the group finished off the evening at the disco.

Advice for Future Brides
Nicole says, “We took pictures all over the resort with the wedding group. There were so many breathtaking locations. For future brides, make sure you take advantage of all the areas available for pictures, they all turned out amazing!”
