Shangri-La Bed & Breakfast played host to Barbara and JD as their intimate group of family and friends gathered for their destination wedding in Grand Cayman.  This “hidden gem” is a newly built six bedroom lakeside bed & breakfast on Sticky Toffee Lane in West Bay.

The Wedding
Wearing a strapless silk, floor-length Paloma Blanca wedding gown, Barbara honoured her late “Nonna” with one of her gold bangles on her wrist and carried a small vintage silver sequins evening purse that belonged to her grandmother since she was not well enough to travel. JD was dapper in his light weight Calvin Klein suit, accented with his dad’s gold cufflinks.

Reminiscing on their wedding experience, Barbara recalls, “Things could not have gone better; the blue sky, the gorgeous colour of the ocean, the lovely flowers, the perfect temperature, the beautiful sound of Eugenio’s harp, the sunset and the romantic and intimate atmosphere.”

The Honeymoon
With family and friends packed up and headed home to Canada, Barbara and JD continued their celebration by honeymooning at the Cobalt Coast Resort, in a secluded tranquil setting with a spectacular view overlooking the inviting waters of the Caribbean Sea.
