Easy Winter Appetizer: Olive Cheese Balls

Simple to make - delicious to eat appetizers.

Put a baking sheet in the middle of the oven and preheat the oven to 400 F. In a bowl, stir together the cheese, flour and cayenne pepper. Blend in the butter with your fingers until a dough forms. Spoon one teaspoon of dough mixture onto wax paper in rows, as if your making cookies, add one olive to the top of dough mixture. Lightly flour your hands and wrap dough mixture around each olive, enclosing completely and shaping into a ball formation.

Remove hot baking sheet with oven mitts from the oven and place on a heat resistant surface. Transfer each olive ball from the wax paper to the hot baking sheet. Place in rows, be careful not to touch hot baking sheet. Using oven mitts, place baking sheet with olive balls back into the middle of the oven, bake for approximately 15 minutes or until golden. Serve warm. Makes 20 appetizers.
