Kate Middleton: Royal Wedding Decor and Flowers

Kate and William wanted an eco-friendly wedding and they made no exceptions even with the flowers and décor.

They commissioned floral designer, Shane Connolly to create an English garden that could be re-planted after the wedding day.

Connelly, worked closely with the couple to create a design that was inspired by the couple; a natural organic look, in green and cream colours that fit in with the historic venue.

To create this, Connelly brought in eight, 20 foot trees, two Hornbeams’ and six English field Maples that he plans to have transplanted into a garden. Urns were filled with, ivy foliage, gardenia’s, lily-of-the-valley, hydrangea’s. Beautiful azaleas, rhododendron, euphorbia’s, beech, wisteria and lilac bushes lined the walkway to the church nave creating a fragrant aroma.

The total cost for this lush set-up? $76,000.
