Star Trek Wedding Cake Recipe

Ingredients (Vulcan Wedding Cake)
6 oz Ground almonds
½ cup Flour
½ teaspoon of salt
¼ teaspoon of cloves
¼ teaspoon of Nutmeg
¼ teaspoon of Cinnamon
1 ½ teaspoon of Baking powder
6 oz Grated carrots
1 tablespoon of Vulcan bitter nectar (dark Jamacian Rum can be used to represent Vulcan bitter nectar)
1 tablespoon of Grated lemon rind
1 tablespoon of Lemon juice
5 tablespoon of Margarine
6 oz Sugar
5 Eggs

There are rituals that can be performed during the baking of the cake, however this version only contains baking instruction.  

- Mix together ground flour and almonds. Add salt, spices and baking power.  
- In another bowl, mix carrots and nectar (rum). Add lemon rind and juice. Cover and let the mixture stand.  
- Cream together margarine and sugar.  
- Separate eggs, add the yokes to margarine and sugar mixture. Save egg whites.  
- Beat yolks into the sugar and margarine and than add to the carrot, nectar and lemon mix. Stir well and let stand.  
- While you let the nectar stand, beat the egg whites until you are able to make soft peaks out of them.  
- Add the flour and spices to the nectar and carrot mixture to make a batter. Fold the batter into the egg whites you have prepared.  
- Pour the batter into a greased pan (or ring mould).  
- Bake at 325 degrees for less than one hour. Remove the cake and let stand to cool. Sprinkle with icing sugar.
