The Groomsmen Checklist o Attend engagement party o Meet all members of the bridal party o Attend the bachelor party (help best man plan the party) o Attend rehearsal dinner. Prepare toast o Get fitted for tux. Pick up your tux or suit a couple days before the wedding o Arrive to church on time. Usually 1-2 hours early o Serve as usher - greet guests, handout programs and escort guests to their seats o Escort bridesmaid partner down the aisle or walk with the groom o Stand up for the groom during the ceremony o Stand in receiving line; greet guests, give guests table number or handout favours at reception o Get ready for the limelight! Be introduced at the reception o Dance with bridesmaid partner for the bridal party first dance o Help carryout gifts to car after reception o Help clean up after the reception Send thank you note for groomsmen gift
