Stretching and warming up is an important element to exercising.

“Your muscles are like cheese, if you pull a block of cheese out of the fridge and stretch it, it’ll break,” Wideman says. “But if you warm it up, it’s more flexible.”


It’s ideal to start things off with some agility drills with cones. Alternatively, you can do a series of side steps or play soccer for a few minutes; essentially, anything to get the blood flowing through the body.
