Taylor Wig & Fergus Schappert

Taylor, a young university student, was introduced to Fergus by her cousin when he and Fergus went through military training together. They were both young and passionate about life and they quickly fell in love. Soon after they met, Fergus began training to go overseas and before they knew it, he was leaving for Afghanistan.

In the first two years of their relationship, Fergus spent over a year of that time away with the military. It was a lot for the young couple, but they found strength in each other. The couple believes that their time apart taught them to value the time they had together more, and every day they were apart, they fell a little more in love with each other. After 8 months overseas, Taylor was elated when her soldier finally came home!

Soon the couple was engaged and ready to begin their lives together. In September 2010, Taylor left the couple's hometown to pursue her dreams of becoming a lawyer and once again the couple has found themselves miles apart. While being apart again wasn't the way the couple had envisioned their engagement, Fergus supports his fiancé and hopes to inspire her in the same way that she did for him when he was overseas following his dreams.

They say distance makes the heart grow fonder, and it couldn't be more true! The long anticipated wedding is planned for August 2012 and the couple is thrilled! They have overcome so many challenges in their 4 years together and now they can't wait to finally begin their lives together.
